Our Community
We are a unique community located along a beautiful 50-acre private lake. The lake is ideal for sitting and watching the sun set from the shore on summer nights, for boating on warm days, and for fishing on balmy August mornings.
Water Wheel Community was established in 1971 along the Raisin River in the Historic Village of Clinton. It has always been and continues to be a haven for retirees and families alike and we boast many long-standing residents
Beautiful Amenities
Water Wheel features beautiful green belt walking paths, a sparkling lake and a swimming pool. As a resident you have access to a comfortable, yet large community center that can accommodate everything from a card party to a wedding reception.
Helpful and Involved Management
Water Wheel has always had strong management who upholds the rules and regulations and has attracted good people throughout the years. We have a dedicated office and maintenance staff who do their part to keep our community in top shape.
Quiet and Calm
Water Wheel is 85% retiree. Many of our residents have been life long members of surrounding communities, and have chosen to retire at Water Wheel to enjoy quality of life and stay close to family. At Water Wheel, residents have their own home and yard, are more independent, and are able to travel and do what they want in retirement.
Close and Connected to it all
Water Wheel is the perfect place to escape the higher costs of the city without losing its conveniences. We are a stones throw from Irish Hills or Ann Arbor. We have a major medical center close by, and the Michigan International Speedway is down the road by for race fans!
Water Wheel has always been a good community citizen. Our residents have played leadership roles in the Clinton Jaycees, Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Clinton Fall Festival events. Water Wheel residents were instrumental in starting the Lenawee County Senior Citizens Group, which meets weekly in the Water Wheel Community Building. Water Wheel also established a scholarship fund for deserving Clinton High School seniors going to college.
